There are 3 options for starting to learn to dive:

PADI Discover Scuba Diving
Age 10yrs +
This course is an introduction to scuba diving with credit towards your PADI Scuba Diver or Open Water Certification.  You will learn basic safety concepts in the classroom, followed by some basic scuba skills in shallow waters, before heading out for a dive to a maximum of 12m under close supervision.  This course is designed as a taster, just to have a go or to see whether you’ll enjoy diving before you commit to a course.

PADI Scuba Diver
Age 10yrs +
This course is designed to teach you the foundational knowledge and skills that you need to dive under direct supervision to a maximum depth of 12m. Ideal for the holiday diver, or those without the time to complete the Open Water qualification. The course can be easily upgraded to Open Water qualification later, should you wish. The course consists of 3 theory sections, 3 confined water skill sections and 2 open water dives. You will also be required to float for 10 minutes unassisted.

PADI Open Water Diver
Age 10yrs +
The Open Water Certification will allow you to dive with a buddy, independent of supervision, whilst applying the knowledge and skills that you learn in this course to a maximum depth of 18m.  On completion, you will receive a PADI card that is recognized world-wide.  The course consists of 5 theory sections, 5 confined water skill sections and 4 open water dives. You will also be required to swim 200m and float for 10 minutes unassisted.

There are many PADI courses to help you continue your diving adventures:

Refresher
For qualified divers that haven’t been diving for a while (usually 6 months or more). It allows you to refresh your diving skills before going back into Open Water. This is usually done in shallow water before heading out.

PADI Adventure Diver
Age 10yrs +
Adventure Dives are individual dives in different aspects of diving e.g.  deep, navigation, night to increase your knowledge and experience of diving in different areas. To earn your Adventure Diver qualification, you can choose 3 adventure dives from the list available and complete the knowledge review and associated dive for each.

PADI Advanced Open Water Diver
Age 12yrs +
The Advanced Open Water certification is designed to give you greater experience and even more dives! The course consists of a deep dive, a navigation dive and 3 adventure dives of your choice. This course will certify you to a greater max depth of 30m.

PADI Rescue Diver
Age 12yrs +
The Rescue Diver certification is designed to take you to the next level of diving. You will learn how to anticipate, prevent and manage potential dive accidents. You will be a qualified first aider, which can make all the difference in the unlikely event of an emergency occurring.

Emergency First Response (Primary & Secondary Care)
No age limit
Learn to give CPR and First Aid to someone in need! EFR is a one day course which teaches you the fundamentals in coping with an emergency situation. A valid EFR certificate is necessary for completion of the PADI Rescue Course.

PADI Specialty Dives
Age 12yrs +
Specialty Dives are an extension of Adventure dives, going into more detail about your chosen subject(s). They will give you the knowledge and experience to dive in more challenging aspects of diving.

PADI Divemaster
Age 18yrs +
Take the first step in becoming a PADI professional by enrolling in a Divemaster course. Please ask for more details.
